Spirits Pub & Grub

701 E. Chatham St., Cary, NC, 27519
(919) 462-7001 - Venue Website

Spirits Pub & Grub is the third local business venture for Daniel and Janet Perry. Their first two establishments, Daniel’s Restaurant & Catering and Daniel’s on Main, feature New York style Italian food prepared in the ‘a la minute’ style.

While the menu at Spirits is vastly different from the Daniel’s locations, one thing remains the same: the Perry’s commitment to quality and consistency in every plate that leaves the kitchen. Patrons will appreciate the difference between the burgers at Spirits (ground fresh daily and served on local, freshly baked buns) and the burgers that are served elsewhere. In fact, most menu items and ingredients are prepared “in house.”

Spirits has 21 beers on tap and 16 TV’s supported by 9 different HD receivers. This means that there will never be a shortage of sporting action at the pub. Fantasy sports enthusiasts are encouraged to come to cheer on their favorite teams, as well as track the players on their rosters for the week.

Spirits is a non-smoking establishment, but smoking is allowed on one of the two outdoor patios. The pub also features Big Slow Tom’s Trivia on Monday nights and a variety of daily drink and food specials.

 September 25, 2009 - Triangle.com - Greg Cox

'Get a grip," I tell myself. "It's just a burger."

But it isn't "just a burger." It's the carpetbagger burger at Spirits Pub & Grub, and it has bewitched me with a doubly powerful spell: 6 ounces of freshly ground chuck and sirloin flame-grilled to a juicy turn and topped with plump, crisp-crusted fried oysters. It's one of several burgers, with topping options ranging from homemade chili to short rib ragu, on a menu where the primacy of the burger is reflected by the fact that entrees are listed under the heading of Not Burgers.
