Pechilvr is right, my brother in law is in the business (not Regal Cinemas)and I complained about the pricess to him several years ago and he said Hollywood gets every penny from the TICKET sales. They even have to return all the posters and banners etc back to Hollywood. I agree it is crazy to pay $16 for a medium drink and popcorn but it is always cheaper to do Redbox and pop Orvilles at home. Complain to Hollywood who makes the Millions and Billions from the movies and Obama for his Hollywood pork he put in the new tax code.

That's a bunch of bologna. Simply because everything has gone up and these movie theaters are feeling the pinch but yet getting in on the way up the scale in pricing. Not for one minute do these places have to charge the ridiculous prices that they do. No way!

Im not sure if people realize movie theaters do not get the box office money. That goes strictly to the movie people. In order to upkeep a theater, the money comes from the concession stand. Thanks to piracy and the web prices have been forced to increase in all theaters, Cross roads isn't alone in the pricing all theaters are high in the concession. This is why I love my Regal savings card. I regularly win free pop corn or drinks!

We wemt to the movies yesterday and the price of popcorn and soda was outrageous. $8. for a large popcorn and $4. something for a large drink (which we shared). We could almost have had a nice lunch for two somewhere for that! No wonder folks sneak in their own drinks and candy!
