The atmosphere isn't fancy at this Durham bar, and the service can be erratic. So why does the place fill up most nights? The excellent selection of draft beers certainly doesn't hurt. But the real draw is the food, an offering which includes a charcuterie plate of house-cured meats, beer-braised carnitas, and a nightly changing chalkboard where you'll find the likes of Stilton-bacon cheesecake and barbecued monkfish.
