i nvr wrought a review before but i felt strongly compelled to pass on this critical information...for the 10 bucks my husband and i spent on this "movie" i could've had a V8...this is the most overpriced, overbudgeted, cmg, over advertised pile of pooh i've ever seen...the script is horrible, the special effects are waaaay over the top and utterly rediculous, the relationship btwn the cast is mind numbing, and about half way through i couldn't keep from laughing...and trust me the comic relief is lame at best. it was crazy and ended up being a huge family reunion...all the bad guys are related to all the good guys in one form or fashion and i'll be honest i went to see sexy C. Tantum but he wasn't even enough to save this movie. after the first 5 min when they start talking about the revenge for clan Mc cullen you know right then you need to get up and walk away i could have waited for this to come out on TNT. this was the worst movie i have seen in a loooong time i was sorely disappointed and hope the computer programmer doing this film got paid a lot of money cause he's the only one worth anything in this entire production and once the novelty of 'gi joe' wares off and people see what this is realy about people are gonna be outranged

Judging by the crowd that flocked to a packed pre-noon showing of "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" on its opening day, this film is destined to make big noise at the box office.
It does on the screen as well. "G.I. Joe" is a brazen, earsplitting, eye-popping, oddly satisfying action extravaganza, though it veers wildly off-target in its second hour.
Your fingers will start out gripping the seat handles and end up tapping them impatiently. (Full review)
It's the biggest movie of the summer that practically no one has seen. "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" opens today, but Paramount Pictures didn't screen the blockbuster for critics beforehand.
