When a disc containing memoirs of a former CIA analyst (John Malkovich) falls into the hands of Linda Litzke (Frances McDormand) and Chad Feldheimer (Brad Pitt), the two gym employees see a chance to make enough money for her to have life-changing cosmetic surgery. Predictably, events whirl out of control for the duo doofuses and those in their orbit.

I'm still deciding if "Burn After Reading" is the boldest -- or most boldly stupid -- thing Joel and Ethan Coen have done thus far in their careers.
"Burn" has the Coens doing what they always do after they've made an acclaimed film like last year's Oscar-winning "No Country for Old Men": make a straight-up farce. That's what they did a decade ago, when they followed up "Fargo" in 1996 with everyone's favorite stoner film noir "The Big Lebowski." (Full review)
