Col. Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) serves Germany with loyalty and pride but fears that Hitler will destroy his country if allowed to run unchecked. With time running out for Germany and the rest of Europe, von Stauffenberg joins a group of like-minded, high-ranking men who want to overthrow the Nazi regime from within. Man, what is up with all the Nazi movies this holiday season?
We've already had the Holocaust from the kiddie perspective in "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas." Next, we will have Kate Winslet as a former SS prison camp guard seducing a teenage boy in "The Reader" -- or, as I like to call it, "Illiterate Nazi Cougar." And we'll watch Daniel Craig, James Bond himself, leading a bunch of Jews out of Nazi-occupied Poland in the upcoming "Defiance." (Full review)
