This year, proceeds will benefit the new foster program. The program provides temporary homes for dogs and cats that are too young or too sick to be adopted. Funds will go towards medical care, supplies and food that the foster families need to care for these animals.
This event will provide fun for people and dogs alike. Admission is FREE!! Some of the things you will enjoy at the event include:
1. Raffle for prizes, including hundreds of dollars in gift certificates to local restaurants, businesses, and sporting events
2. $5 rabies shots and $10 microchipping available
3. Dozens of exhibits and vendors
4. Kids area
5. Dog contests and demos for agility, flyball and musical freestyle
6. Dogs available for adoption from the Center and local rescue groups
7. One-mile dog walking path that you can stroll at your own pace.
Please bring your own mutt – and the whole family – to show your support for the Wake County Animal Center at Mutt Strutt.
