Curb Your Enthusiasm's Uncle Leon - JB Smoove

You know jb smoove from his starring role as "leon" in the 6th season of hbo's curb your enthusiasm. He's also had recurring roles on "the sit com's everybody hates chris," "til death" with brad garrett and from variety shows like "cedric the entertainer presents" and nbc's "saturday night live." his work on snl also garnered him the 2007 writers guild of america award for best comedy/variety series (including talk). You can see him now during his regular appearances on the gong show with dave attell (as one of the celebrity judges, naturally.)
in june 2000, he landed his first big feature film role narrating and starring in "pootie tang" with actor/comedian chris rock. In march 2001, smoove landed another pivotal role in the comedy film "say uncle" starring tom green. He has also paired up with adam sandler to co-star in "mr. Deeds." the collaboration between the two was so successful that smoove signed a writing deal with both revolution studios and happy madison (sandler's production company).
Smoove has appeared on the comedy shows "uptown comedy club," "russell simmons def comedy jam," "comic view" and "it's showtime at the apollo." in september 1999, he moved to los angeles and landed a recurring role on "the lyricist lounge show," as well as featured guest spots on "the chris rock show" and "premium blend." soon after, smoove was cast in such films as "lesser prophets" starring jimmy smits and scott glenn, and "tomorrow night," featuring conan obrien.
