It should come as no surprise that Johnny Mathis is every bit as smooth over the phone as he is on record. Whether speaking or singing, the man has the same velvety voice and effortless cool. It takes about three words for you to realize that it's the same voice that launched "Chances Are," "It's Not For Me To Say" and other quiet-storm masterpieces up the charts.
