Created by local stand-up comedians Shane Smith and Adam Cohen, Dangling Loafer brings the area's best comics to The Morning Times on the third Friday of the month for a comedy show.
Show usually includes six comics on stage for roughly 10 minutes each.
About the founders:
Shane Smith performs stan-dup regularly across NC and is also an improv actor and accomplished graphic designer. He was recently chosen to perform in the NC Comedy Arts Festival (where he was part of the prestigious Late Night Showcase, hosted by Eddie Brill, who is David Letterman's standup talent coordinator), and he was also a former finalist in the 2011 NC's Funniest Comic competition.
Adam Cohen performs comedy regularly in the Triangle area, and has also appeared in clubs in Los Angeles and New York City — including The Comic Strip. He is a creative director at the Raleigh marketing firm Capstrat, and his past comedic dabblings include syndication selection of his daily comic strip "Herschel" by Creators Syndicate and co-creation of "Major Flake," an animated pilot for Cartoon Network.
