FLIGHTS is eclectic urban style romantic, great food, beautiful atmosphere as well as the decor. The Chef is very versatile with all his great foods he cooks along with the presentation! The server Keith was very knowledgeable and super nice! We always request Keith when we come in to eat, which is mostly dinner with my husband. We have been going there quite frequently since we found out about it in the spring. We went recently and started with Brushetta 3 ways and Pan seared Carolina crab cake as our appetizer, mouth watering! My husband tried the fried Cornish hen and I had the seared diver Scallops this time. We both loved it so much! The sides were out of this world that came with it! We can’t wait to go again!
This is my favorite restaurant to eat in!! It is located in the Renaissance hotel at North Hills. I Love the look of the restaurant when you first walk in is breathtaking! I give it the WOW factor. Our server we always request is Keith who gives us wonderful suggestions. Last night we had as a appetizer Artisanal Cheeses and Pan Seared Carolina Crab Cake which was very tasty!
For our entrée I had Crispy Rosemary Infused Wild Salmon with Green Lentils, Haricot Vert, Tomato Jam, Tarragon Buerre Blanc! My fiancé had the 12 oz Angus New York Strip Steak with Wild Mushroom Demi Glacé, Jackson Farms Sweet Potato Custard, and Red Onion. Best steak he has had! My Salmon was fresh and so tasty, cooked to perfection!
We both shared dessert Chef’s Hot Cheesecake was very good. This is going to be our always date night restaurant.
Last night my husband and I went out to eat at FLIGHTS restaurant, located in the Renaissance Hotel at North Hills. We go out to eat a lot. We were very impressed with it! It exceeded our expectations! The actual look is modern and retro! The service was excellent by a very knowledgeable and pleasant server! His suggestions were fantastic.
We started with a very tasteful appetizer Brushetta-3 Ways, yummy! My entree was Lobster and Grits; it was so good I ate it all! My husband had Fried Cornish Hen, which he said it was the best he had in years! We finished off with Irish coffee. It was a wonderful evening with the ambience and the food! We will definitely be going there more often!

Entering the lobby of the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel, your eyes are drawn upward to parchment wings, suggestive of the Wright brothers' plane, suspended from a high ceiling. In the airy, sleekly elegant dining room, you can't help but look up again, where clusters of conical pendant lights call to mind the exhaust jets of rockets soaring into the stratosphere.
