Nothing fancy about this place, but good food.
If somehow you had transported there while sleeping, I think you'd wake-up thinking you were in Puerto Rico (judging by the food and the colorful customers).
The service was terrible the first night we were there, so be prepared to hound the wait-staff.
Still, portions are generous and tasty.
The margaritas are way too sweet and syrupy.

News & Observer restaurant critic Greg Cox says: This modest mom-and-pop eatery serves up a slice of Caribbean sunshine, tucked away in a nondescript North Raleigh strip mall. The specialty is Dominican cuisine, which is closely related to Puerto Rican and includes such delights as sopa de res, mofongo, bacalo Caribeño, pernil and bistec encebollado. Most food is cooked to order, so save your visit for when you’re not in a hurry.
