The Chelsea and Varsity theaters are Chapel Hill's venues for interesting movies that you won't see in the omniplexes. Chelsea occupies a store front in the Timberlyne shopping center, with the best coffee in town right next door, and your choice of fast, veggie, deli, Japanese, Chinese, or Tex-Mex restaurants around the corner. The three screens show the movies that you may read about, but don't see advertised: thoughtful (The Reader), quirky (Waking Ned Devine), or a chance to try another language (La Vie en Rose). If it's at the Chelsea, it's worth seeing.
