Raleighwood Cinema Grill
We were so excited to find out about this place on the Internet. We figured our 3 year old son would finally enjoy a movie if he had a meal along with it. Unfortunately we didn't know that this place catered mainly to birthday parties. As per the web site's advice, we arrived early to make sure we got tickets. When they opened the doors 30 minutes before showtime, we had already been waiting 30 minutes to get in. They started seating the birthday party guests and didn't really care about the handful of people who had purchased tickets but weren't with a birthday party. Finally they told us to go in but only the very front row of the theater was available, because all of the other seats had been given to the party guests. We also noticed that all of the party guests already had popcorn and drinks. We waited another 20 minutes and weren't even brought our drinks yet. We decided to get our money refunded and leave.
I would only recommend this to people who want to have their kids' birthday party there...it seems they do a good job with that. But if you're a regular patron, stay away. You will be summarily ignored and relegated to the worse seats.

Dinner and a movie? How about dinner-and-a-movie, all under one roof at this north Raleigh spot featuring discount movie prices and a menu that puts the usual popcorn and Junior Mints selection to shame. Comfortable chairs and remarkably smooth table service make for a relaxing experience of simultaneous dining and viewing pleasure. The large cinema salad is a bounty of fresh vegetables, topped with crumbled blue cheese and your choice of dressing. Share it, or you won't have room for a mushroom burger or grilled chicken club sandwich, or a pizza with the works. (Full review)
